A native of New York City, David graduated with a degree in Business Management before embarking on a career in the Financial Services industry for 8 years. His time spent in Corporate America helped him to develop important traits that would prove vital when he made the transition to life at sea.
In 2007 David made the commitment to leave NYC for Florida to pursue a new career in the yachting industry. Without any formal training, it was a choice met with challenges every step of the way. David took advantage of every opportunity to aid in his upward progression in yachting. With proper schooling and hands-on training, David is now a certified Captain and an accomplished navigator. His technical training is complimented by his strong work ethic and his easy-going demeanor.
David’s yachting career began on a 120ft Norship as where he sailed as First Officer. During his 3 years onboard, David experienced many trips up and down the United States Eastern Seaboard, as well as throughout the Bahamas and parts of the Caribbean. While this was only the beginning of his career, it cemented his continued drive to succeed in the yachting industry. David has since worked for a wide range of programs, ranging from private family yachts to heavy charter vessels. He has also worked on a variety of yachts – all sizes and builds, such as Benetti, Westport, Feadship etc., which gives him well-rounded knowledge that he constantly puts into practice.
David is focused and talented, and his career change made him realize that he was meant to work on the water. With his drive and knowledge, David is a welcome addition to the Usher team.
